We're in UB at Dave's place!!!!!! Yeeeaah!!!!!!

At the airport, it's costing us $400 dollars to get to Ulan Batar [Ulaanbaatar], we have to get there though to get out of Mongolia! At least we can chill for a while in UB and work out how we're going to get home!!

Day 25

Staying in ger [mongolia tent house] so we have to eat and drink what they give us. It all tastes of goat, have had yoghurt, tea, fermented milk and cheese! My stomachs not too happy!! They're such a nice family their brother works at the airport so he is sorting out tickets for us for tomorrow. Sometimes we do get lucky!

Day 25

Sorry had no signal for days!! Good news we're in Mongolia! Bad news car is properly dead. We tried with the mongolians for hours to fix it but no luck :( So we cried alot and sold the car to them and our stuff to them for $625! We put the rest of our stuff split between Sobby and Lyles car. Then we hit a hill and had probelms and had to unload. A truck was passing and we asked them to take us to Olgi [Olgiy]. They did and we're staying in their ger for tonight, hopefully we can get a flight to Ulan Bator tomorrow. Such an experience!

50km from Mongolian border. Just found out its closed on Sundays so going to chill out in beautiful countryside.

In a beautiful part of Russia taking south east road to Tasanta [Tashanta] at Mongolian border. Lots of mountains and rivers. Just met eight teams! Back with Sobby now.

Day 22

In Barnaul Russia only 18 and raining! Quite nice change. Just had decent lunch stayed in hotel last night so nice to get clean again. Hopefully Mongolia tomorrow.

Day 21

Nearly at russian border in semmey [Semipalatinsk] at the moment getting two spare tyres fixed. Had two blow outs yesterday, was rims getting bent not the actual tyres. Damn pot holes! Grabbin some food here and then off to border and up to Barnaul. Met two micra teams karancula or somethin. 1 girl 1st seen in ages.

Hot hot day today! Trying to reach Semey [Semipalatinsk] tonight to meet up with Sobby! Boring driving just flat and deserty, not even rivers to swim in!

Day 19

Back in Kazak after the lake aiming for Taldiqorghan [Taldy-Kurgan] tonight or further. Car ok ish had to take exhaust off so very loud now struggling up hills! Beautiful mountain driving good roads luckily dont think car could take much more! Still dodgy signal! hope to meet with Sobby again tomorrow! We're absolutely fine, really enjoying it and not far to go now!
